Determining
whether a treatment you are taking is tailored to and in balance with your
body and healing needs can NOT be done by guess work. Nobody, no doctor, is
a mind reader or a body reader. They can NOT estimate all your body's needs.
They can NOT evaluate the hazards and side effects and harm to your organs
and vitality reserves by all your stresses nor by all the toxins that
saturate your life and your body. They can NOT foresee all barriers or
problems that could possibly block your healing. No doctor can help you
without a complete understanding of you.
These are
not insurmountable problems. Your body knows. (Only your body knows.)
Now, you have to learn how to listen to, read, and interpret, what your body
is telling you.
The
purpose of this article and the chart provided is to help you do this. Its
guidelines will help you derive maximum healing benefits from the special
herbal remedies you are taking by guiding you and enabling you in ...

Better
listening to, reading and understanding your body and its day to day
needs;
-
Evaluating the effectiveness of your treatments; how your body is reacting
to, and benefiting from, (or not benefiting from) the treatments you are
taking;
-
Figuring
out what, or how much increases or decreases of your approach(s) to
healing you need to make, and when to inaugurate these.
The
following is a special chart which is a simple tool designed to assist you
in determining . .
-
whether
your treatments are right for you and in a good balance with your body
needs -- or . . .
-
whether
they need to be adjusted, changed, or added to.
-
how to
modify dosage and treatments in tune with progress you make or changes you
go through.
-
avoid
overdoses, underdoses, reactions, healing problems.
DIRECTIONS FOR USING THIS CHART
-
Carefully think out all your most important symptoms and disconcerting
body problems, changes or abnormalities.
-
Write
each of these into a space on the left side of the page under SYMPTOM /
PROBLEMS. It would help (but it is not essential) to put these in
order of their seriousness or importance.
-
Every
week or two go over this list. Evaluate each symptom. Indicate, as best as
you can, the amount of improvement you are experiencing: 0 %; 25 %; 50 %;
or more; or getting worse.
-
Use
these percentage figures as your guidelines to modify the amounts and the
types of remedies you are taking. Do these in the ways indicated in the
remaining pages of this booklet.
-
For each
symptom or problem, or for your overall improvement, that is only 25 %,
double or triple the dosages and amounts of the treatments you are
presently taking.
-
If
improvements are around 50 % increase your treatment up to approximately
double your previous doses.
-
If
improvements correspond to about 75 %, cautiously and moderately increase
the amounts of your therapies.
-
If your
treatments succeed in making you feel great, even 100 % improved, stay on
the same therapy doses for possibly another 1-2 months --- then gradually
and cautiously, and progressively and monthly decrease these amounts.
-
If you
experience no benefits, or if in any way you experience some unpleasant
reactions or distresses or even feel worse, then consider the following .
. .
-
Your
treatment is too strong.
Stop everything for 3-4 days (minimum). Then start again, but on much
smaller doses.
-
Some
other problem(s) or cause(s) of your illness still exists, are affecting
you adversely or blocking your body's abilities to heal. It has (they
have) not been sufficiently studied or brought to light.
More
diagnostic information is needed.
Such problems could be: allergies, stresses, diet, lifestyle excesses,
toxicities, elimination failures, or a weakness of a body organ -- such as
the liver.
Body toxins, wastes, debris are not being broken down, neutralized and
eliminated as they must. Detoxify, detoxify, detoxify. Sick with any
serious or degenerative diseases one can almost never detoxify enough.

COUNSELS FOR TAKING HEALING REMEDIES
-
If you are in the early stage of any illness, or if
your
purpose in using a remedy is to prevent illness, don't use more than the
minimal dose indicated on your remedy label.
-
If you
are seriously ill, the amounts of remedies to take would probably
correspond to the maximum amounts indicated on your remedy label -- or
possibly more.
-
Use your
Progress Evaluation Chart (above) to evaluate your symptoms or problems
and determine amounts of remedies which will give you the most benefits.
Slowly increase your dosages until you obtain such benefits.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM A CAREFUL FOLLOWING OF YOUR TREATMENT ...
-
Do not
expect immediate or complete changes or relief of illness distresses.
-
Healing
generally proceeds at the same speed as growing (from an infant to an
adult).
-
Always
and only take the smallest amount of any therapy that provides you with
the maximum and optimum of wellbeing.
-
Don't
ever take more than you need. If 1 or 2 doses makes you feel as good as 3
or 4 doses, don't take the greater amounts.
-
Don't
ever force yourself to take treatments, any more than you should allow
yourself or force yourself to keep eating foods when your appetite is
satisfied and your instincts tell you you have had enough.
-
Stop. Listen to your body. Take a holiday from your treatments. A "remedy
sabbath" is good. After a month or so, try going a day or two
without
your remedy. Take your remedies only 6 days a week. Allow your body a day
to rest from its efforts and overloads of healing.
-
After
every 10 weeks of treatments stop for 1 - 2 weeks. If, when stopping, you
feel worse or experience a setback, listen to your body --- not to books
or therapists who can't know your body.
-
Whenever
you have reached a "peak" -- a feeling of real wellbeing and have kept on
that level for 2 - 3 months, start to decrease the amount of therapy you
are taking.
If, during that period, you experience a reoccurrence of any distresses or
symptoms, go back to your previous doses for another couple of months;
then try again.
-
When you
are following all guidelines and recommendations to the best of your
ability, but still experience symptoms or distresses, don't get
discouraged or upset. Don't panic. These discomforts don't necessary mean
that your treatment is wrong for you -- or that it is harming you. When
you are doing everything right, what feels like a wrong is the wrong (the
toxins and the causes of your illness) coming out. These could be what are
called -- "healing crises" or "healing reactions".
Such periods are usually short lived. Only if they continue on for a long
time or become distressing, then promptly contact your doctor or health
consultant. Something needs to be changed or balanced differently.
-
It is
not realistic to expect satisfactory healing when, at the same time as you
are taking natural remedies, herbs, food concentrates, supplements, and/or
a good diet, you also take drugs, either on your own, or those prescribed
by a doctor.
All food additives and preservatives, regular table salt, refined,
processed, overcooked or microwaved foods, chemicals, chemotherapy,
X-radiations, pesticides, destroy healing abilities (the enzymes) of
herbs and natural supplements.
-
On the
other hand natural remedies and some herbs can and will neutralize and
minimize the harmful, toxic and disabling side effects of drugs and
chemicals, including chemotherapy and radiation. Even though the natural
treatments don't usually cure under such conditions, they still make it
possible to experience a satisfactory and comfortable quality of living.
HOW LONG DOES ONE NEED TO KEEP TAKING REMEDIES AND FOLLOWING THERAPIES?

REQUIRE TO HEAL AND REMEDIES TO RESTORE OPTIMAL WELL_BEING?
There are
two general rules of thumb . . .
Even if
completely free of symptoms and diseases, it still takes 1 year of treatment
for every 10 years of illness. Your illness and your contact with its
causes, generally started years before you experienced disease symptoms.
A minimum
of two years. It takes something like two years for the body to rid itself
of all sick and dying cells and to replace these with new strong healthy
ones, and again be assured of ongoing great health.
As long as
cells, that have been damaged by your illness or from the side effects of
drugs and other pollutants and hazards, remain in your body you are not
completely free of disease or the possibilities of its reoccurrence.
As long as
you continue to live in the conditions and environments of our civilization,
constantly affected by the pollutants, excesses, stresses, unhealthy
lifestyles and abnormal attitudes and values of living, we all remain
constantly threatened with serious diseases -- even cancer. (One out of
three persons living today will die of cancer.)
Having
been seriously ill a first time, inevitably leaves one's body with a
crippled resistance to disease. It can be important to continue immunity
maintaining and disease preventing doses of natural remedies or herbs. It is
important to continue to live balanced lives, with good supporting diets,
lifestyles free of extremes, and keeping our bodies free of the multitude of
pollutants of the times we live in.
Knowledge and understanding are as essential to healing as are remedies.
Satisfactory healing is not usually possible without healing wisdom.
The taking
of herbs and quality foods gives you NO guarantee that your body is
obtaining all the nutritional and/or healing benefits it needs from them.
Everything you put in. your mouth must be made available and usable to all
your body's structures and functions. Only complete digestion does this.
Foods,
herbs and supplements you take must never be denatured, overheated,
processed, refined, poisoned by chemical fertilizers and/or treated with
additives. They should be completely natural.
Foods,
herbs or supplements that are not completely usable by your body just pass
right through you; you lose all their potential healing benefits. Even
worse, any substance that is not completely digested will rot, putrefy in
your intestines -- its chemistry and nutritional values all lost.
They build
up stagnating piles of toxic residues -- like a swamp. They poison the
intestinal walls. They slow down or stop the colon contractions essential to
the elimination of our body wastes and toxins. They filter through the walls
of the intestines. Via the blood, they are carried to our livers. They
poison the liver and stop its healing, nourishing and detoxifying functions.
They poison, damage and destroy foods, herbs and supplements that enter into
our intestines.
Your
mouth, stomach, pancreas, intestines and liver are probably the most
excessively used and abused of all organs. Several times daily we stuff
them, and much too often overload them, with good foods, junk foods, foods
we are allergic to, (which act like mild poisons) pollutants, food chemicals
and additives, drugs from our doctors, or those we take ourselves, the
chemicals in the water we drink, lead or iron from the water pipes, chlorine
and fluorides (15 times more poisonous than arsenic -- both which contribute
to cancer), ions of mercury which constantly dissolve from our teeth
fillings -- the list goes on and on.
With all
this, can we really still expect healing to proceed normally and
effectively. We may need to take some digestive enzymes or liver
supplements, with our healing program.
We need to
know whether we really need help for our digestion, and if so, how much, and
what kind of digestive enzymes our body's need.
A

WAYS THIS CHART CAN HELP YOU MOST:
Knowing
how to recognize how well you digest your foods is knowing how effectively
your body is using those foods, as well as the herbs or supplements you are
taking. It is also knowing how free your intestines are of poisons and how
effectively your body is handling or eliminating these.
Use the
chart to help you determine if you need any support of your digestive
functions -- extra enzyme supplements. The more B.M. abnormalities, the
greater the need for either stomach or pancreatic enzymes or both. Start by
taking 1 - 2 pancreatic enzymes before each meal.
If the
changes in bowel movement characteristics are small and insufficient, try
adding an extra enzyme per meal.
If the
changes are still not enough, try a stomach digestive enzyme tablet with
Hydrochloric acid. Start with only one a day. If changes are still
insufficient increase these only every 3 - 4 days and at one tablet a day at
a time.
It is
not necessary to fill in the whole chart each week. Choose certain days as
digestion-testing days.
Periodically, make notes. Note the changes and progress or lack of progress
of your digestion, as well as of the main symptoms and problems of any
illness you have.
If the
results you notice confuse you, call your doctor or health consultant.
Communicate with him/her for more accurate guidelines. Problems, such as
this, must be resolved. If not you may not benefit from other remedies or
heal as you expect and must. Without the kind of information your chart
(you) provide it is very difficult for a doctor to know which counsels he
needs to give you.
When
digestion is poor it is better to fill in a whole chart. Insert answers ("ü",s)
at least every second day. Do this until your bowel movements revert to
normal.
The guidelines and charts above provide you a real assurance of acquiring
optimal health at the least effort, the least guess work, and often for
the least expense, and in the shortest time possible.

RULES OF THE GAME OF HEALING
-
Never
undertake a healing program alone. Consistently work with your doctor or
health consultant.
He/she who tries to heal him/herself has a fool for a doctor and an idiot
for a patient.

Communicate frequently.
Every time you feel a
need for support.
Every time you are
confused.
Every time you are
concerned or anxious.
Every time something is
not working to your benefit -- as you expected and need.
-
Never
allow negative thoughts, worries, fears to play on your mind. As soon as
you are aware of these adversaries working away at you, pass your problems
over to your team defense man (your doctor) to attack them.
-
Never
submit to, or tolerate, for more than a day, experiences of pain,
distress, uncomfortable reactions, healing crises. Notify your coach
(doctor) as to what is the next strategy you require to overcome your
problem of that moment.
-
Never
underestimate the amount of poisons, toxins, body wastes that accumulate
in your body over the years -- nor the damaging, paralyzing role they
play.
-
Never
think that a few periods of elimination and detoxification, a fast, or a
few fasts, and will get rid of what took years to accumulate.
-
Don't
let periods of feeling "good" deceive you into believing you can let up on
your healing program. It takes two years for sick cells, cells overloaded
with toxins and weakened by nutritional deficiencies -- to die off and be
replaced by healthy cells.

Don't
stop your treatments until your body healing is complete.
-
Anytime
you feel discomfort from any therapy -- it is difficult for you to
continue taking supplements or they seem to be overloading your system --
STOP. Cut back. Give your body a rest. Give it a chance to catch up with
healing. At least for a few days. Check with your doctor.

Keep
your treatments in balance with your body needs. As you feel and function
progressively better, gradually taper off supplements, and treatments.
